A house from one prompt
Claude Code with Opus 5.5 at xhigh effort, three.js, one prompt and no follow-ups. It took 2 h 15 min. The video is the house running in a browser tab.
The prompt
Build a walkable 3D house from scratch with three.js. A modern two-storey family home: an open living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with an island, a staircase, two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, and big windows onto a garden. Make it look as real as you can: wooden floors, soft shadows, warm evening light. WASD + mouse to walk around, and ?tour=1 walks the camera through every room by itself. Serve it on http://localhost:8830 and open it in my browser when it's done.
That was the whole conversation. I didn't send a second message.
What came back
Two hours and fifteen minutes later the house opened in my browser. Two storeys. A living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with an island, floating stairs, and warm evening light through big windows onto the garden.
- Opus 5.5 at xhigh effort, in Claude Code
- 2 h 15 min from prompt to a finished house in the browser
- 1,206 lines of JavaScript, in one main.js
- 0 asset files: no images, no models
- 0 follow-up prompts
No asset files means the wood, plaster, tiles and fabric are all drawn by code. It runs in a plain browser tab with three.js and no build step.
What I would mark down
Upstairs is thinner than downstairs. The bathroom and the second bedroom are there, but they are sparse next to the living room, and the tour walks through them quickly.
